Or what they love to call a “simple misstating of the facts.”

I’m not a poet, nor a politician as you’ll see – And I don’t see the point in being politically correct When it is political correctness that got us into many of our historical and future debacles! And although my “native” language is English – sometimes my fingers don’t always type what my brain is saying – and things may come out sounding a bit backwards.

I call a spade a spade – a diamond a diamond – a club a club and if their heart is truly in the right place – a heart a heart .  I know there is a huge difference between ignorance and stupidity – and if stupidity is the cause – your damn right I’ll call it like I see’s it!

Some folks like to say that I’m contradictory – because they like to say that right is right and wrong is wrong no matter the circumstances.  BUT -  you know something? There are in fact times – when there is a difference!  For example – if one is  talking about a child brought up in the inner city of say the Bronx, or LA, or Chicago v.  a child of the same age brought up in the suburbs of those very same cities.  There is no “moral” differences, nor a godly difference but ones surroundings definitely skews your understanding of right and wrong – and therefore – that understanding of it is…let’s just say of little warped.

Does that make it contradictory?  No – just realistic. And is one of the disparities that we as a society have never worked on to change.  But I won’t get into that now – you’ll see that in my writings, my rants, my postings within this blog.  What you do need to understand is that in this writers opinion – the biggest mistake that we as a society have made over the past 30 or 40 years is to try to paint our children with a single broad brush in education, rearing, in  and their development as individuals.   We have tried to mass produce their lives – and in so doing have failed them ALL miserably.

There are many failures in our world that have been knowingly or unknowingly manufactured by our own hand – with good – no great intentions, but have failed to produce the stated goals.  Our government has grown WAY out of proportion – even though every president since George Washington has spoken against growing the size of government.  Our laws seem to be written to prevent rather than nurture – and sadly we seem destined to commit an entire segment of our world to extinction – in the guise of government assistance!

The politicians will say that some folks have simply fallen through the cracks…or that even though a program is not fulling its stated goals – never has and never will – that the fix is simply throwing more money at it…or that we as a people need to take care of the rest of the world to the detriment of our own people…and maybe worst of all…our politicians – the one that are supposed to be working for the people, to represent the people of his or her district, city or state – have sadly become slaves to the election cycle, and addicted to the power they have – no longer represent the people – but the party.

A very wise man once said

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

We have sadly forgotten that lesson, and insist that we know better!  I ask you to look around you, look at what is going on in your neighborhood, your city, your state, the country and the rest of the world for that matter.  Do we REALLY know better?
